As technology leader in high‑voltage bushings, the Trench brand HSP drives the energy transition. HSP US in Charlotte will be the first U.S.‑based manufacturing plant of Trench Group. Starting operations in early 2026 the plant will manufacture dry‑type bushings (RIS/RIP) with voltages up to 800 kV for the North American market. It will feature full vertical integration and will house one of the most modern and high‑performance high‑voltage test laboratories in the region. Trench Group will invest more than $60 million in establishing a facility that will manufacture cutting‑edge technology to support the expansion of the U.S. power grid infrastructure. Your Mission

The Licensed Electrician will play a key role in supporting electrical infrastructure, machinery installation, and production operations in a high‑voltage manufacturing environment. This role supports the build‑out, commissioning, and maintenance of production equipment used in the manufacturing of high‑voltage bushings and transformer components. The ideal candidate has strong industrial electrical experience, knowledge of high‑voltage systems, and a disciplined approach to safety and compliance. This is a hands‑on role with significant impact as we build and scale a new U.S. manufacturing facility. Foundational Impact

Work with modern production technology, automated systems, and high‑voltage test equipment in a clean, safety‑focused industrial setting where continuous improvement and craftsmanship are valued. What We Are Looking For

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in a manufacturing environment. Support installation and commissioning of new production equipment including winding machines, curing ovens, testing equipment, and casting machinery. Perform troubleshooting on control systems, PLCs, drives, motors, and power distribution systems. Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical diagrams, and equipment manuals. Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) and ensure electrical work is completed safely. Install conduit, wiring, panels, and distribution equipment up to 480V (experience with MV/HV preferred). Conduct regular preventive maintenance and support equipment reliability programs. Collaborate with engineering teams during build‑out and equipment commissioning phases. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase uptime and efficiency. Train and mentor junior technicians as the team grows. Requirements

Active state‑issued Journeyman or Master Electrician License (North Carolina or ability to transfer). 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience. Strong working knowledge of 3‑phase power, control panels, VFDs, motors, sensors, and automation systems. Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Experience with industrial installation and commissioning. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. Committed to electrical safety and compliance (LOTO, arc flash, PPE). Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. NCBEEC, NCCER Electrical Certification, PLC/Industrial Controls Certification’s preferred. Why Join Us
