The Academic Support Coordinator, under general supervision of the Assistant Director of Tutoring & Learning Services (TLS), supports the implementation of peer tutoring, Supplemental Instruction (SI), embedded services, and other academic support services in TLS. In addition, the Academic Support Coordinator supervises and mentors student workers; oversees day-to-day operations related to academic support services; and assists the Assistant Director in maintaining CRLA certification. Responsibilities

Program Management

: 50% Manage day-to-day operations Maintain the schedule and website for peer tutoring and SI Facilitate feedback surveys or other strategies to collect data from students using peer tutoring, SI, or embedded services Support, maintain, and report student visit tracking and session data via TracCloud Contribute to management and oversight of the academic support services budget within TLS Recruitment & Supervision

: 40% Assist the Assistant Director with the recruiting, hiring, and scheduling of all peer tutors and SI leaders Assist the Assistant Director with the training and mentoring of all peer tutors and SI leaders Manage time entries, timesheets, and payroll requirements for all tutors and SI leaders Conduct evaluation of tutors and SI leaders Outreach

: 5% Create and distribute promotional materials to advertise academic support services Promote academic support services on campus Participate in TLS academic support outreach events and activities Participate in student visits and orientation events Host workshops as directed by TLS leadership Other Program Support

: 5% Participate in committees, advisory groups, and work groups as assigned by supervisor Assist the Assistant Director, as needed, with other programs and initiatives in the Tutoring & Learning Services unit Other duties as assigned Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree Two (2) years of experience working in student services at the postsecondary level or related experience Additional education may be considered as a substitution for the minimum experience qualification:

Master’s degree

Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from various backgrounds and identities. Preferred Qualifications

Five (5) years or more of related experience in student services at the postsecondary level Experience supervising student employees Experience in tutoring, SI or other academic support programming CRLA-certified and/or CRLA training experience Familiarity with TracCloud/TutorTrac, Workday, or other similar team management systems Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines Strong organizational skills Ability to interpret various forms of data and create reports relevant to academic support Salary is commensurate upon education and/or experience.
