As a Miscellaneous Fabricator, you’ll be responsible for fabricating, cutting, welding, bending, and assembling metal components for structural and custom steel projects. You’ll work closely with shop leadership and fellow team members to ensure materials meet design specifications, tolerances, and Raulli & Sons’ quality and safety standards. This position is at our Kirkville shop located at 6333 N Kirkville Rd. Core Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication details Fabricate, weld (SMAW, MIG, TIG), cut, and bend a variety of metal components Operate fabrication machinery including saws, presses, shears, drill presses, grinders, and welding equipment Inspect work regularly to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met Safely handle and move materials using cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment Maintain proper PPE use and follow all OSHA and company safety policies Keep work area organized and safe in compliance with housekeeping standards Perform additional shop or field tasks as assigned to meet project deadlines Experience & Education
Previous experience in metal fabrication or a related trade required; 3 years of experience. High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or apprenticeship. Welding certifications; forklift certifications a plus. Skills & Abilities
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Skilled in welding, cutting, and bending processes Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to safe work practices and company policies Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly (occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance) Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and stoop throughout the shift Ability to perform repetitive hand motions and fine manipulation Work in a loud, indoor production environment with exposure to heat, vibration, and slippery surfaces Required PPE: steel-toed, slip-resistant boots, safety glasses, gloves, respirator (when required), and hearing protection What We Offer
