As a Prism Industrial Electrician, you will operate in a wide variety of environments troubleshooting, making repairs and performing both small and large electrical installations. Our primary customer base consists of Manufacturing, Light Industrial, Commercial and Property Management. You will be expected to be highly knowledgeable of your trade, provide excellent customer service, be self-motivated, quality focused, and to operate safely and efficiently in the field with a minimum of immediate supervision. A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Industrial Electrician is required for consideration. Candidates must have a State of Texas Master or Journeyman Electrician license Texas Driver’s license and a clean driving record. All candidates must be able to pass drug testing and national minimum 10-year background check.

Industrial Service Technician- Prism Electric Inc

As a Prism Industrial Electrician, you will operate in a wide variety of environments troubleshooting, making repairs and performing both small and large electrical installations. Our primary customer base consists of Manufacturing, Light Industrial, Commercial and Property Management. You will be expected to be highly knowledgeable of your trade, provide excellent customer service, be self-motivated, quality focused, and to operate safely and efficiently in the field with a minimum of immediate supervision.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Industrial Electrician is required for consideration. Candidates must have a State of Texas Master or Journeyman Electrician license Texas Driver’s license and a clean driving record. All candidates must be able to pass drug testing and national minimum 10-year background check.

Potential candidates are required to have a professional appearance and demeanor and be highly proficient in the following areas:

Safety NEC requirements Customer service Trouble shooting a wide variety of commercial and manufacturing systems Trouble shooting and installation of motor control systems Commercial installations Manufacturing / Light Industrial installations Generator installations UPS installations Lighting installations / HOT WORK

Experience

In addition to these skills, potential candidates must be physically fit, able to lift a minimum of 60lbs, and be willing / able to work overtime and weekends if / when required. Additional capabilities / experience in the following areas will be considered a plus:

Medium voltage installations (5Kv – 35Kv) PLC trouble shooting and programming Holder of Texas CDL Certified thermographer OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training Other safety training

Ability to read and understand a variety of electrical drawings and navigate via understanding of electrical symbols.

Controls schematics Ladder Relay

Ability to troubleshoot low and high voltage controls. Controls include:

PLC input and output from point to point Understanding of PLC terminology Ability to navigate PLC software with little or no instruction Relay logic from source to field device Understanding of current paths within a working system Understanding of electrical components and purpose

VFD

Ability to troubleshoot Navigate parameters and understand the meaning Adjust parameters to meet customer needs Ability to evaluate problems in an industrial/manufacturing environment and recommend possible solutions Ability to work in manufacturing industries which may include working in tight confined spaces or elevated areas. Ability to work in industrial industries which may include working in tight confined spaces or elevated areas.
