Responsibilities

Maintain, diagnose and repair a variety of heavy equipment, such as: Off-highway Trucks, Compactors, Dozers, Excavators, Wheel and Backhoe Loaders, Graders, Skid Steer Loaders and Telehandlers.

Accurately disassemble, inspect, determine parts needed and reassemble to factory specifications

Accurately perform preventive maintenance, test equipment and conduct inspections to ensure proper operation

Operate lifting devices

Order, exchange and return parts for assigned jobs in timely manner

Demonstrate proper use of service information systems

Complete service reports and all other paperwork accurately and on-time

Perform all tasks by adhering to and following all applicable and required safety standards and procedures at all times

Ensure total customer service through direct customer interactions.

May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 1 year experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel equipment

Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures.

Able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, operating and maintenance service manuals.

Working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.

Ability to operate lifting devices.

Ability to use diagnostic equipment

Familiarization of electronic cables, connections, and sensors.

A demonstrated commitment to accuracy, organization and ability to prioritize tasks is required.

Previous experience on CAT equipment is a plus.

Working Conditions

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside (non-climate controlled) and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.

Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.

Physical use of a broad variety of tools and machines in order to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Must be able to lift varied weight.

Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.

Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
