Passion for our mission and vision is required! Responsibilities

Design high-quality production, development, test, integration, and manufacturing tooling for the Blue Engines, Lunar and New Glenn business units. Capable of integrating concepts and principles of mechanical design and analysis across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; projects will vary in size and scale. Interpret and apply design and drafting standards (ASME Y14.5) when creating drawings. Handle a wide range of technical design challenges related to assembly fixtures, material handlers, rotisseries, test fixtures, structural weldments, environmental chambers, and custom machines. Collaborate with component designers, manufacturing engineers, and integration engineering to achieve cradle-to-grave metrics (safety, cost, quality, cycle time, delivery, reliability, life, and maintenance/refurbishment). Manage projects, including vendor selection, fabrication, inspection, equipment installation, proof testing, and commissioning of custom tooling. Set, implement, and maintain schedules and budgets to ensure project completion. Foster effective and collaborative communication by leveraging team strengths and creativity. Work effectively in a team environment; all designs are the result of team collaboration. Qualifications

B.S. degree in any Engineering subject area from an accredited institution. 7+ years of work or project experience with design, build, and commissioning of tooling and fixtures for manufacturing, assembly, and test. Experience using CAD and FEA-based analysis software (Creo and ANSYS Workbench preferred) for structural applications. Desired

Experience with FEM and complex structural analysis plus hand calculations and free-body diagrams. Design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) experience, including taking products from development design to rate production. Understanding of common manufacturing materials, GD&T, and tolerance/stack-up analysis. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and machines (CNC, mills/lathes, welding, sheet-metal bending, lifting/rigging, assembly, inspection). Knowledge of industry standards (ASME BTH-1, ACI 318, AISC, NASA SP-8077). Experience with custom machine design: motors, actuators, linear rails/actuators, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, etc. Experience with Creo and Windchill; NX and Teamcenter. Experience with analysis packages such as ANSYS Workbench, FEMAP, NASTRAN, NX Advance Simulation. Familiarity with related design and analysis tools and processes. Culture and Inclusion
