Industrial Maintenance- Blow Molding Specialist The Industrial Maintenance Specialist serves as a subject matter expert responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing production machinery, blow molding equipment, and facility systems. This role requires advanced mechanical, electrical, and controls expertise to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
We are only seeking candidates that have 5+ years of experience with plastics blow molding equipment
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all plant safety standards and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Equipment Maintenance:
Diagnose and repair machinery, including PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Installation & Setup:
Install, adjust, and repair blow molders, trimmers, palletizers, and related production equipment.
Tooling & Changeovers:
Perform mold and tooling changes, adjustments, and equipment modifications.
Preventive Maintenance:
Execute scheduled maintenance to prevent downtime and extend equipment life.
Fabrication & Welding:
Use welding and fabrication skills to repair or improve machine components.
Troubleshooting:
Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions to mechanical and electrical issues.
Collaboration & Training:
Work cross-functionally to improve equipment performance and mentor maintenance team members.
Documentation:
Accurately record maintenance activities, repairs, and evaluations using the work order system.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong background in mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems; experience with blow molding equipment preferred (Uniloy, Liberty, Bekum, or Rocheleau).
High school diploma or GED required; advanced technical training preferred.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and capable of effective communication across all levels.
Leadership skills with the ability to guide and support maintenance technicians.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Exposure to loud machinery, fluctuating temperatures, and moving mechanical parts.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
Occasional mandatory overtime based on production needs.
