Position Summary Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment (e.g., Mat Welders, Slitters, Welding Machines, Hoists and Cranes, presses, and forklifts) in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
Requirements Primary Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, inspecting, and testing machinery; diagnose issues; evaluate repair needs; and assist with installation of new equipment
Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, computer-controlled systems, and production machines.
Adjust and calibrate automated manufacturing equipment.
Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters; and complete other checklist-based maintenance tasks.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, determining the most effective corrective actions.
Set up and/or operate plant equipment (e.g., saws, lift trucks) as needed to complete maintenance work.
Follow all safety rules, regulations, and safe work practices.
Obtain supplies and repair parts from distributors or storerooms.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Other Requirements
Thorough knowledge of hydraulic and fluid systems, electrical circuitry, and a basic understanding of PLC control systems.
Thorough knowledge of blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
Proficient in the use of common hand and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, hammers) as well as specialized precision measuring equipment and electronic testing devices.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data.
Ability to write in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.
Ability to coach others.
Willingness to assist with other projects as needed.
Ability to define tasks clearly, identify and coordinate resources, and prioritize work distributed to others.
Essential Functions

The ability to attend work predictably and regularly as well as be punctual.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
3–5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and technical documents.
Willingness to work various shifts and overtime as required.
Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and parts.
Qualifications
High school diploma and completion of two years of post-secondary technical training in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field.
5–7 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen‑Bradley or Siemens).
Welding, fabrication, and machining skills.
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs and use of CMMS systems.
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA standards.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and respond to emergency maintenance needs.
