The Area Mech HVAC Refrigeration Kitchen Tech will solve, perform maintenance and/or operational procedures in all phases of plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, refrigeration work including, air cooled and water cooled chillers. Among many tasks, the Area Mech HVAC Refrigeration Kitchen Tech must be able to repair or replace valves, bearings, belts, sheave replacement, blower and shaft replacement, insulation and damper repairs, motor repair or replacement, pump rebuilding and maintenance of boilers and air compressors. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.
Pay rate for this role in Florida: $29.59 per hour.
Responsibilities
Ability to troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats and burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, Steam Generation, Blowers, Hot Water Heaters, etc.
Perform maintenance on mechanical systems that include belts, bearings, motors, pumps, walk‑in‑coolers, freezers, ice maker machines and other refrigeration equipment that includes coils, pans, insulation, blower shafts
Respond to trouble tickets within areas of Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts
Ability to use the tools of the trade (e.g. multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools etc.)
Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years' experience in refrigeration
Universal EPA Certification (Type I, II, and III)
Ability to pass the Area Mech HVAC Refrigeration Kitchen Tech assessment
Experience troubleshooting, performing maintenance and operational procedures in all aspects of the plumbing trade to include: plumbing, HVAC, commercial kitchen repair, boilers, air compressors and water cooled chillers
Experience troubleshooting transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems
Knowledgeable of valve repair, replacement and adjustment
Must be familiar with the tools of the trade such as multimeter, manifold gauges, scale and charging stations
Ability to read blue prints and schematics
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
