Ensuring ongoing customer loyalty and brand support is a key driver of production service team success. The Field Service Technician resolves customer issues on site, often identifying and addressing defect issues within Cavco’s warranties and commitments. The technician will assist customers in understanding their product purchase. This role may work independently or under supervision, executing specific process steps with ongoing quality review and coaching. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Installs and repairs Cavco products, performs on-site post-installation repairs, calibration, and maintenance, applying general home repair knowledge. Checks work orders, manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine tasks, tools, and parts needed. Discusses work orders and repairs necessary with customers or their representatives. Conducts routine preventative maintenance as per guidelines and schedules. Ensures Cavco products meet specified standards. Works closely with factory management, service, and parts departments to ensure seamless customer service from start to finish of repairs. May train customers in equipment operation and assist with non-warranty service requests. May be on-call for emergency repairs outside regular hours. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years relevant experience Ability to anticipate and resolve practical problems Strong customer service skills Effective communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail Commitment to safety practices Positive attitude and flexibility General knowledge of construction repairs with ability to train and grow Valid driver’s license and good driving record Additional Details
