Job Overview Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, the position is responsible to provide technical leadership in equipment, process and operational efficiency for assembly, quality control and packaging technologies. The incumbent should optimize the production equipment by providing subject-matter-expertise for process technology while ensuring cGMP compliant manufacturing.
Main Responsibilities
Support with routine equipment preventive maintenance.
Support equipment start-up, characterizations and qualifications.
Support equipment installations or transfers.
Assist with the design of production layouts that minimize production impacts.
Monitor manufacturing processes to identify ways to reduce losses, decrease time requirements, or improve quality.
Assist in performing equipment changeovers in some cases.
Support the SAP transactions.
Assist with spare parts inventory.
Ensure adherence to safety rules and practices.
Must be flexible to work a variety of schedules to meet business needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills And Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
Minimum 4 years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing setting, preferably medical device, or pharmaceutical industry.
Must be able to communicate appropriately and accurately both orally and in writing.
Must have practical experience and solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Independent thinker and problem solver.
Equipment automation experience.
SAP EAM or relevant enterprise calibration and spare parts inventory management system.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an FDA-regulated or similar environment.
