The Process Engineer
will be responsible for utilizing engineering technologies and methodologies to evaluate current processes, equipment, and systems to determine areas of improvement that will enhance product quality and eliminate production inefficiencies. Process Engineer Responsibilities: Leading and participating in the identification, prioritization, implementation, and control of cost reduction and process improvement initiatives using lean processes Identify innovative approaches to plant-wide issues that create opportunities for process improvements that positively impact the manufacturing process; provide statistical analysis reports evaluating the efficiency of current processes, procedures, equipment, and associates Establish work measurement programs and collect and analyze data; develop and maintain key performance indicators and metrics; design manufacturing systems to achieve production goals Conduct feasibility studies of varied projects to determine the worth of an investment and provide justification for capital appropriations Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance/improve quality systems and manufacturing operations, including Kaizen teams, and other Lean manufacturing initiatives Process Engineer Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial, or Applied Science 3 to 5 years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other relevant software programs Experience in best manufacturing process implementation practices, blueprint reading, and process mapping methodologies Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts and Six Sigma program Seniority level
