Industrial Electrician - Manufacturing - Base Pay to 43/hr - Bartlett, IL

The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance tasks, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems within the facility. This includes diagnosing and resolving issues with power distribution, motors, PLCs, sensors, and other electrical components, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, circuitry, motors, control panels, and automation equipment.
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in industrial systems, such as motors, PLCs, VFDs, and sensors.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
Utilize voltage detectors and other tools to ensure safety in all electrical work.
Collaborate with other teams, including production and engineering, to ensure smooth operations.
Participate in programs to improve the functionality of equipment and machinery.
Participate in or lead electrical-related projects, including new installations and upgrades.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, maintenance, and installations.
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and new technologies.
Conduct preventative maintenance programs to ensure the long-term reliability of electrical systems.
Qualifications
3+ years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician
Familiar with common electrical tools and measuring instruments
Experience reading electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
Strong working knowledge of 480 volt 3 phase electrical distribution systems and motor control
Must have a good working knowledge of current National Electrical Codes
Experience with hand tools, small power tools and their proper uses
Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings
Ability to work 2nd OR 3rd shift hours
Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay to 43/hr
Medical and Dental Benefits kick in after 30 days
401K: 100% match for the first 1$, then a 50% match for the next 5% contribution
