Diesel Mechanic, Earn up to $41.38 hr R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Egin, IL Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment, including preventative maintenance and repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding depending on location. Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and fleet equipment Conduct major repairs as needed Work with AC and Electrical systems Assist with maintenance of trailers, doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding when required Qualifications
Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines Ability to handle major repairs Experience with AC and Electrical systems Ability to lift 50 lbs Must have own tools Preferred
2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience Experience with preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines Experience using Cetaris for work orders Class A CDL holder Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks Experience in trailer PMs and repairs Benefits
