Job Summary:

The Master Electrician safely performs troubleshooting, maintenance, tests, repairs and electrical installations in large commercial settings.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment on-site

Perform electrical installations of a commercial nature

Plan layout and installation of electrical equipment, conduit, wiring and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes

Install electrical conduit, equipment, fixtures or wiring in floors, walls and ceilings

Install, inspect and test electrical systems

Perform installations including panel boards, conduits, lay-in fixtures, wall packs, exit signs, light fixtures, disconnects, breakers, power distribution equipment and power supply wiring

Refer to labels, job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions to accurately perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards

Report work orders, scheduled jobs and work progress to a foreperson

Ensure code compliance through proper installation of electrical components

Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years or older

Seven years of experience as an electrician in the electrical field is required

Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license

Must possess a master electrician's license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed

Preferred Qualifications:

Seven years of experience as an electrician is preferred

Prior experience as electrician in an industrial or commercial setting is preferred
