Non - Exempt SUMMARY
The Welder/Fabricator II is responsible for fabricating and installing metal products such as railings, gates, fencing, and doors. This includes interpreting technical drawings, welding, cutting, grinding, cleaning, and assisting with installations. The role serves as a key contributor in custom metal fabrication projects both in-shop and on-site, with the potential to lead job site operations. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fabrication & Welding
Proficient in MIG, TIG, and/or ARC welding of carbon, stainless, and low alloy steels.
Emphasis in TIG . Operates various tools and machinery (grinders, saws, torches, plasma cutters). Reads and interprets blueprints and weld symbols accurately. Prepares, assembles, welds, and finishes parts to spec. Installation & Site Work
Works with installers to fit and install finished products. May act as site lead to ensure high-quality installation. Maintains cleanliness and organization of job sites and company vehicles. Measurement & Inspection
Uses measurement tools (tape, calipers, lasers, levels) to ensure precision. Ensures work meets specified tolerances and quality standards. Shop Duties
Assists in inventory, packaging, and material handling. Operates forklifts and lifting devices safely. Prepares products for coating (grinding, cleaning). JOB REQUIREMENTS
4+ years of welding and metal fabrication experience. Ability to read blueprints, use weld symbols, and measure accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Must be able to weld in multiple positions (vertical, flat, overhead). Construction experience is a plus. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
You must follow safety protocols and wear protective equipment. Requires physical stamina, including lifting 75 lbs. Work includes repetitive hand/wrist movements and physical labor.
