The inventory clerk is responsible for all warehouse inventory control processes and maintaining accurate records in accordance with company policies. This would include, but not limited to, performing a physical count and reconciliation of inventory, investigating and correcting all discovered discrepancies, ensuring all monthly, weekly, and daily Requirements are achieved; and communicating important information regarding the condition, trends, or processes impacting the ability to maintain adequate control of the inventory of all warehouse goods including finished goods, raw materials, repack/recoup broken/damaged product into good, sellable cases, deposit Items with warehouse leadership. The inventory clerk also supports warehouse operations by verifying outgoing inventory sent customers & incoming inventory returning with drivers, so all product is shipped accurately.
Responsibilities
Reconcile finished goods inventory in SAP, the inventory database, compared to the finished goods inventory that is physically counted.
Conduct daily cycle counts to research and correct any variances. Identify and communicate BRF/STO/PO corrections to inventory team
Assist and maintain appropriate inventory levels and product loss control
Process all inbound/outbound shipments
Check 3rd party Drivers in and out as they arrive for appointments
Complete all paperwork for shipping/receiving department and run daily/monthly reporting
Manage shipping/receiving schedule on dedicated and over the road drivers
Accurately pull defined quantities of inventory onto pallets and store orders in the staging area when they are prepared for shipment
Write off Goods-Process WH damages, out of date and repacks
Perform DSD driver check-in duties such as, Load Modify for load discrepancies, counts truck – product, pallets, shells, and tanks. Compare count to pending Load In
Perform other tasks as determined and assigned by Warehouse Management including Pallet Building when required
Requirements
High School Diploma (or GED) required
1-2 years Warehouse and/or inventory experience required
Extensive knowledge of all Warehouse Processes and Systems (SAP)
Analytical Skills and ability to count
Strong PC Skills including Microsoft Office Applications and SharePoint
Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting 30 lbs
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
Ability to adapt to needs of role in different work areas throughout the workday and meet minimum expectations of those different work areas
Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen
Ability to work in a noisy and non-climate controlled (hot in summer, cold in winter) environment
Intentional self-starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks out value-add opportunities
