CapEx Project Manager - Puerto Rico - 12-month contract
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical client based in the surroundings of Barceloneta. Due to a large capital investment and multiple projects on site, the client is looking for aCapEx Project Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and completion of the capital project, focusing on the development of a state-of-the-art oligo / peptide clinical trial manufacturing facility. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with organizational objectives. Manage all aspects of project delivery, including scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, procurement, and quality assurance to drive project success. Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to project requirements and safety standards. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to achieve project milestones and objectives. Provide regular project updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders. Qualifications, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered). Extensive experience in managing large-scale capital projects over $300m within GMP manufacturing environments (Biologics or Pharmaceutical experience preferred). Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a plus). Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across various project phases. Experience in leading projects from concept through commissioning and qualification. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent. Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and knowledge of related regulatory requirements. Familiarity with process equipment used in drug substance manufacturing facilities. Demonstrated experience in CAPEX project execution within the pharmaceutical industry.
