As a Mobile Commercial Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines (Cat/Cummins/Detroit), systems, and components for a wide range of commercial vehicles. You will work in the field, directly with customers, providing on-site repairs and maintenance. This role is critical for ensuring vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair diesel engines and systems, including electrical and mechanical components, for commercial trucks and vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and related equipment. Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot engine and system issues. Complete field service repairs and maintain service records accurately and promptly. Provide excellent customer service, clearly communicating with customers about their vehicle issues and repairs. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment both in the service truck and at customer sites. Collaborate with the dealership service team for efficient scheduling and issue resolution. Travel to customer locations within the region for on-site repairs. Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel technology or related field preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a diesel technician, focusing on commercial vehicles. Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems. Proficient in diagnostic tools and software (e.g., Freightliner DiagnosticLink, Cummins Insite). Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a mobile environment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Additional Information
