The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Public Buildings, seeks a Junior Project Manager working within the Sustainability Unit.

Responsibilities

Assist with maintaining a project management information system to provide data for the planning and control of project development.

Establish project timeframes and cost schedules.

Determine and coordinate project activities required between the client agencies, contractors, and departments responsible for project completion.

Review all schedules, reports, and orders prepared by consultants, contractors, and client agencies to assure compliance with project completion dates.

Check contractors' work performance via field visits and on‑site inspections.

Prepare management reports and resolve problems that arise in meeting schedules and assigned budgets.

Qualifications

Minimum: A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration; or a master’s degree in architecture that is the first professional degree in architecture from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Skills Candidate should possess excellent organizational, verbal, and written skills, with the ability to multi‑task various projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.

Salary $59,888.00 – $68,871.00
