Lochmueller Group’s Water Resources Department is growing, and we are looking for a talented Water Resources Process Engineer to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. The ideal candidate will be a Professional Engineer with substantial experience working on wastewater, drinking water, and/or storm water projects. This is a great opportunity to expand into the Kansas City area.

Responsibilities

Develop project designs in conformance with the latest design standards.

Manage projects, including budgetary constraints and staffing.

Stay current on modeling software and apply it efficiently in design.

Read, interpret schematic and construction plans.

Produce drawings in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

Perform design quantity computations and cost estimates.

Work with surveying data provided by the survey department.

Apply specification regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules.

Collaborate with clients to pursue project funding and adhere to agency practices.

Engage in business development activities to grow the Water Resources service line.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

10+ years of experience in wastewater, drinking water, and/or stormwater design.

Project engineering or project management experience.

Familiarity with project management and accounting software a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
