Job Functions
· Perform floor stripping procedures in assigned areas to prepare a clean floor surface for recoating with the specified floor finish:
· Remove old floor finish.
· Remove dirt and debris from floor surface.
· Manually scrub clean floor edges and corners.
· Perform shower scrubbing (top scrubbing) to prepare the floor surface for recoating.
· Remove dirt and debris from the floor surface.
· Manually scrub clean floor edges and corners.
· Apply floor finish using a technique that ensures a consistent coat without skips, swirls, or drips. The floor should have a deep shine upon completion.
· Perform carpet cleaning procedures, including vacuuming, shampooing, and extracting, to remove dirt and stains.
· Buff hard surface floors to restore shine following the approved procedure.
· Maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean, orderly, and functional condition. Report failures immediately.
· Gather, load, and transport equipment and supplies efficiently for each task.
· Notify the Floor Team Manager of any issues encountered during work.
· Operate equipment proficiently, including roto, high-speed buffer, extractor, and wet vac. Assist in loading equipment onto the vehicle.
· Physical lifting of items over 20 pounds may be required.
· Open and lock facilities, enable and disable security systems as needed.
Physical Demands and Qualifications:
Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching. Lift and carry up to 55 lbs. Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses. 1-2 years’ experience as a floor tech preferred but not required; training provided. Flexibility, ability to work at a fast pace, and multitask effectively. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a team environment. Dependability, punctuality, and proper uniform compliance.
