Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

We're seeking a

Senior Technical Project Manager (Web) to lead complex website development projects for our client accounts, specializing in CMS-driven builds with a focus on WordPress.

You'll serve as the strategic and technical bridge between clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors, guiding projects from initial discovery and UX through creative development and final launch.

This client-facing, cross-functional leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, design, and strategy—combining deep technical expertise with exceptional project management skills to deliver outstanding digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities Technical Project Management

Lead the end-to-end execution of

CMS website builds

(primarily WordPress, with occasional work in other CMS and/or eCommerce platforms).

Serve as the technical liaison between front-end/back-end developers, UX/UI-Creative designers, strategists, and QA specialists.

Coordinate the use and management (with the appropriate SME’s) of project-related third-party tools, API integrations, SaaS solutions, and hosting environments.

Discovery & Planning

Facilitate discovery sessions with stakeholders and internal teams.

Lead the creation of project briefs, timelines, functional requirements, and technical documentation.

Contribute to and/or write statements of work (SOW), change orders, and scopes.

Cross-Functional Team Leadership

Guide UX processes, including user research, persona development, information architecture, and wireframes.

Collaborate with UI creative designers and content strategists to deliver cohesive, user-centered experiences.

Manage internal and external contributors across creative, content, and development.

Client Communication & Reporting

Serve as the day-to-day client lead across one or more large web-related projects.

Prepare and present project status updates, risk assessments, roadmaps, and financial reports.

Proactively identify and mitigate risks and obstacles to ensure successful delivery.

Execution & Deployment

Oversee sprint planning, task assignments, QA, and UAT.

Ensure launch readiness and coordinate technical deployment in collaboration with development and DevOps teams.

Maintain project health with a focus on timelines, quality, and budget.

Required Skills & Qualifications

6+ years of experience in digital project management, with the majority of experience web-related (Prior experience managing website builds is required to be considered for this position)

Deep experience managing WordPress projects (custom builds, ACF, Gutenberg, headless WP experience a plus).

Agency Experience is required for this position

Strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS, PHP, APIs, REST, JSON, integrations).

Skilled in managing third-party vendors, plugins, platforms, and tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zapier, analytics platforms).

Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and technical SEO best practices.

Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.

Experience in Figma, Workfront, Teamwork, JIRA, or similar tools.

Availability, as needed for the project(s) during US Eastern Time Zone business hours
