Job Summary: The AWS Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing cloud-based projects utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle—from planning and execution to delivery—ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead AWS cloud projects from initiation to closure. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines. Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules. Track milestones, budgets, and resource allocation. Identify and mitigate project risks proactively. Technical Oversight: Collaborate with cloud architects, engineers, and developers. Ensure AWS infrastructure is secure, scalable, and reliable. Use AWS tools (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS) for deployment and monitoring. Review and optimize existing cloud infrastructure. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate project status to clients and internal stakeholders. Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business units. Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to project team members. Conduct training sessions on AWS services and best practices. Supervise staff and manage cross-functional teams. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards. Maintain comprehensive documentation (plans, reports, updates). Lead process improvement initiatives (e.g., onboarding, change management). Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 3–10 years of experience in project management, preferably in AWS environments. Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
