Overview The Security Shift Manager oversees shift operations and personnel, ensuring a secure environment to protect guests, staff, and Live! assets.
Responsibilities
Manage programs, processes, and procedures to protect Maryland Live assets and ensure guest and team safety.
Communicate and implement department procedures in accordance with director and internal controls.
Assist in developing and implementing Security Department training.
Investigate incidents or complaints, compiling data for accurate reports to the Gaming Commission and department heads.
Complete and investigate first report of injury.
Provide input and assist with performance reviews of supervisors and officers.
Other duties as assigned.

Maintain mental concentration for defined periods.
Handle irregular work schedules.
Perform duties interruptively in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in security or law enforcement.
At least three (3) years of work experience in a casino environment.
Four (4)-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Work in an alcohol and smoking environment.
Secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or applicable regulatory entity.

Physical Requirements
Move throughout the large resort with urgency.
Remain alert at all times.
Perform day‑to‑day activities and emergencies with dexterity.
Stand and walk for extended periods.
Ascend and descend stairs.
Operate in extreme temperatures (hot and cold).
Run, stoop, bend, and reach above the head.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Ride a bicycle.
Operate a Segway, golf cart, or other vehicles.
