Job Description
kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, is seeking a
BIM Specialist
to join our ICT team. This role focuses on the technical production of telecom infrastructure models for some of the largest and most advanced data center projects in the world. We are looking for candidates who excel in detailed, accurate modeling and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that demands consistency, discipline, and a strong eye for quality. Responsibilities
Create and maintain detailed Revit models for telecommunications infrastructure, including ISP and OSP pathways, rack elevations, structured cabling, and telecom rooms Interpret redlines, markups, and design guidance to develop drawing packages with minimal supervision Manage model content, views, and templates in accordance with project-specific BIM Execution Plans Follow internal production standards and contribute to model QA/QC to ensure drawing clarity, internal consistency, and client compliance Support sheet set management, annotation, keynoting, and documentation within a collaborative project team Apply automation tools such as Dynamo to reduce manual effort and enhance production throughput where appropriate Participate in regular model review meetings, track markups, and execute design updates to meet fast-paced project timelines Coordinate with other modeling and engineering disciplines to ensure integration and alignment across design systems Track work progress against hours budgets and deliver on time and within scope Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field 3+ years of hands-on experience with Revit in a BIM production capacity; telecom, MEP, or low voltage background preferred Proven ability to execute production workflows across large, multi-disciplinary projects with multiple linked models Strong understanding of Revit families, parameters, schedules, and project standards Experience following or enforcing BIM Execution Plans Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining focus over extended periods of repetitive or routine modeling tasks Skilled in structured workflows and team environments where efficiency and accuracy are valued Ability to work independently while supporting broader team objectives Effective communication skills for documenting decisions, asking clarifying questions, and integrating feedback Preferred
Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360/ACC) Dynamo scripting experience or interest in learning Telecom, data center, or mission-critical project experience Industry certification in BIM, CAD, or ICT design (e.g., Revit Professional, RCDD, DCDC) Why Join Us
