Procurement Specialist
Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to effectively manage procurement processes using SAP and SAP Ariba. The candidate will analyze, review, and process purchase requisitions; manage supplier responses; open orders and deliveries; and handle invoice exceptions. The role involves sourcing indirect materials and services not managed through strategic initiatives and engaging with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery and prevent operational interruptions.
Responsibilities
Regularly use SAP and SAP Ariba for procurement tasks.
Analyze, review, and process purchase requisitions.
Review supplier responses and manage open orders and delivery.
Handle invoice exceptions.
Perform daily sourcing and transactional tasks.
Source indirect materials and services that are not part of a strategic initiative.
Engage proactively with vendors and customers to ensure on‑time delivery.
Facilitate communication requests as needed.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience with ERP/SAP systems.
Experience in procurement, supplier management, and vendor management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with SAP Ariba, SAP, or other large ERP systems.
Background in Procurement, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, or related fields.
Experience with AI tools such as CoPilot.
Ability to collaborate with individuals at various organizational levels.
Professional dress code adherence.
Work Environment This is a 6‑month onsite project located at the campus. The work environment promotes collaboration and effective communication across departments. There is a possibility to apply for full‑time roles during the contract period. The dress code is professional, and the office is equipped with necessary technological tools to support your work.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay & Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $23.00 per hour.
