Account Manager NJ and NY at ClinLab Staffing QC / Research and Development Chemist
– Fairfield, NJ
Summary We are looking for a dedicated Research and Development Chemist to contribute to our product development efforts. The R&D Chemist will be responsible for conducting experiments, analyzing data, and developing new products or improving existing ones. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, with a focus on product development and material science. They will also have a keen eye for detail and a collaborative spirit. Ultimately, the role of the Research and Development Chemist is to contribute to the innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness of our product offerings through scientific research and development.
Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory experiments to develop new products and improve the existing ones
Design and execute complex research studies using advanced equipment and techniques
Develop specifications and analytical methods for raw materials and finished products
Develop analytical method validation protocols and reports
Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and ongoing quality control objectives
Schedule workload to meet release objectives and deadlines
Review, interpret, analyze and report HPLC data according to USP/NF/BP/EP/IP/JP/CEP/cGMP, and internal guidelines
Author analytical methods and SOPs
Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot HPLC instruments
Perform Laboratory Investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA, Change Controls, Validations, Stability Programs
Ensure lab safety and manage chemical inventory
Other duties assigned by Management
Train and develop chemists
Education
Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline (Analytical Chemistry preferred)
Experience
Minimum of 3 year’s experience in a similar role
Demonstrated experience developing analytical methods
Experience with Empower 3
Experience working in an FDA regulated environment
Experience with GC sample preparation and testing
Knowledge of USP Monograph testing, analytical method development & validation
Knowledge of CFR & ICH Regulatory Guidelines
Knowledge of cGMP processes, lab safety and GDP
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Proficient in Empower 3
Other Requirements
Has significant technical knowledge of scientific principles, theories, and practices of analytical chemistry in an FDA inspected pharmaceutical quality control laboratory.
In depth knowledge of all laboratory equipment, practices, and procedures
Problem analysis, solving and resolution skills
Has excellent oral and written skills
Has excellent interpersonal skills
Can solve complex mathematical problems
Is self motivated
Has a very high attention to detail
Has a positive attitude
Must speak, read, and write in English
