Provide counseling and advising services to 9th–12th grade low-income and first-generation high school students. Monitor participants’ success and maintain records of counseling/advising sessions. Recruit target-area participants and provide class schedules for participants. Evaluate participants’ academic progress. Assist in monitoring hallways as participants change classes. Participate in other Upward Bound activities and functions. Physical Demands
The physical demands will include some sitting, walking, and the use of computers for online academic services such as Zoom and Canvas. Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in counseling, education, or social work. Minimum of two years working with low-income and first-generation students. Strong knowledge of the student financial aid process and a rigorous secondary curriculum. Experience facilitating student-related workshops and using virtual technology equipment. Ability to work on Saturdays (19) throughout the Academic Year. Seniority level
