Overview
At Allegacy, there’s a commitment to doing right for members’ wellbeing. This position assists members with loan applications, new memberships and other AFCU product account openings, provides customer service throughout the loan request and/or account opening process, and is responsible for cross-selling AFCU products and services. It will assist the Financial Center Manager with day-to-day business activities in the Financial Center, including the supervision of all employees, and is responsible for designing and maintaining the sales production efforts within the financial center. Nature and Scope
This position reports to the Financial Center Manager. It requires providing needs-based financial advice and counsel to assist members in choosing AFCU as their primary financial institution. This role is leadership-oriented, guiding all assigned staff, including assisting with evaluations and coaching sessions. Specific Accountabilities
Deliver exceptional member service by ensuring employees provide consistently high-quality service aligned with our Brand Culture. Meet or exceed established service goals. Ensure understanding of expectations and consistently exhibit AFCU behaviors. Assist sales efforts within the financial center. Interview applicants to ascertain requests and make appropriate product recommendations. Process loan applications to ensure timely examination of creditworthiness and loan closing in compliance with AFCU policies and procedures. Educate and coach other employees on offering and selling AFCU products and services. Recommend other AFCU products (cross-sell) based on identified needs; typically 50% of the role involves cross-selling. Assist with supervision, motivation and development of staff. Support other departments to grow membership and increase community awareness of AFCU. Incorporate AFCU performance attributes into daily work with a professional, courteous, and helpful attitude toward members and colleagues. Assist the Financial Center Manager with daily activities of the financial center. Assist the manager with audit compliance, security, safety and maintenance of the assigned financial center. Assist in hiring, directing work assignments, performance reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees. Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated successful sales performance supporting a sales and service culture within AFCU. Ability to work well with others and demonstrate leadership qualities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to discuss, recommend and open AFCU’s programs and services. Demonstrated customer service and problem-solving skills for members. Professional conduct, discretion, and independent judgment while complying with policies, laws, and regulations. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding members’ financial affairs. Education And Experience
Two or more years of experience in a retail sales banking environment. Undergraduate degree in business or related field preferred. Familiarity with computers and basic proficiency required. Eligible to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System. Seniority level
