Position Summary Retail Customer Service Associate at FedEx Office. The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience by using consultative skills to anticipate needs, recommend products, and provide solutions. The role requires knowledge of print, signs & graphics, shipping, and operational responsibilities such as taking orders, managing equipment, stocking, and handling retail and shipping transactions.

Responsibilities

People:

Follow supervisor instructions and assist teammates in store functions.

Assist in training new store team members.

Service:

Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand customer needs.

Provide expertise in printing, signs, graphics, and shipping product lines.

Deliver outstanding customer service using consultative skills, anticipating needs, offering alternatives, and resolving issues promptly.

Take complex orders via order systems and provide accurate pricing.

Assemble parcels, prepare goods for shipping, and manage packaging materials.

Operate printing, binding, and related equipment using customer media.

Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly store environment.

Profit:

Ensure confidentiality of customer data.

Process financial transactions, handle cash, and make change.

Clean, repair, and stock all printing and shipping equipment.

Maintain merchandising displays and store signage.

Prevent errors and waste through proactive actions.

Complete required financial paperwork, including daily sales, close‑outs, and bank deposits.

Follow FedEx Office operating procedures and policies.

Self‑Management:

Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Seek opportunities to improve knowledge and skills.

Operate with minimal supervision.

Adhere to all FedEx Office and store standards.

Perform any other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

6+ months of specialized experience in retail customer service.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at the time of hiring.

For existing team members, meet current hiring criteria and transfer requirements.

Essential Functions

Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.

Ability to lift and move up to 55 lbs.

Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees consistently.

Effective communication with customers, vendors, and teammates.

Perform tasks requiring cooperation and instruction.

Operate in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.

Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.

Work with minimal supervision.

Adhere to established business hours and maintain attendance.

Pay Pay range: $19.70 – $23.17 per hour.
