Essential Duties:
Team:
Manage retail staff, promote a positive work environment, manage HR systems including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and development. Set staff goals, monitor performance, partner with HR on people issues, embody La Farm values such as exceeding customer expectations, quality, dignity, community, learning, teaching, and innovation. Product:
Develop merchandising strategies, ensure product freshness and innovation, perform competitive checks, and ensure staff engage verbally with customers and sell effectively through product knowledge and suggestive selling. Sales and Service:
Increase sales to meet/exceed goals, achieve sales, food cost, and expense objectives, maximize sales via merchandising, promotions, marketing, signage, and ensure superior customer service as Brand Ambassadors. Other Essential Duties: Oversee bakery operations in line with La Farm policies and procedures. Manage labor schedules, plan quarterly retail features, and communicate execution plans. Maintain production sheets, enforce staff training and certifications, oversee special orders, and manage daily sales meetings. Ensure completion of checklists, maintain signage, handle cash accurately, and plan holiday menus and merchandising. Address staff concerns, ensure safety and sanitation standards, and uphold company policies for opening/closing. Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience in high-end retail or food service management. Financial analysis, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, problem-solving skills. Organizational skills, relationship-building, customer service, multitasking, flexibility with weekends and holidays, strong communication skills. Essential Physical Demands: Ability to bend and lift 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods.
