Overview
Project Manager, Substation – Corvallis, OR at David Evans and Associates, Inc. Energy team provides infrastructure solutions for power delivery and renewable energy, offering planning and design for low- to high-voltage facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable electricity for communities across multiple sectors. Responsibilities
High level technical leadership, project management, and client management for substation projects up to 500 kV. Develop project approach, and develop and implement project execution plans. Develop project staffing plans, participate in group workload planning, assist in managing backlog and informing business unit staffing decisions. Delegate project tasks to team, provide technical guidance to team members. Work closely with project engineers, designers, technicians, and other project managers on multidiscipline project teams. Lead or coordinate QAQC process for substation projects. Act as a seller/doer, building long-term relationships with clients through execution of excellent work products, clear communication, and clear expectations. Directly manage projects and support staff in project development and delivery, including scoping, budgeting, contract negotiations and project execution. Mentor engineers, designers, and other staff. Some travel may be required. What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) from an accredited college 5+ years experience with substation design 3+ years experience as a project manager or engineering manager Experience with all aspects of substation design, including physical, relaying, and studies Professional Engineering License (PE) Proficient with Microsoft Office Ability to write and communicate in a clear, concise manner Good verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college Experience working and managing projects and teams as an electrical consultant Experience building substations for utility-scale renewable generation; working for renewable owners/developers as well as for contractors in the design-build space What We Offer
