Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Associate for consumer credit risk will focus on data analytics, data insight generation, trend identification and data visualization to help understand credit risk drivers for unsecured consumer lending assets such as personal loans and credit cards. Assess, review, analyze and provide oversight for new originations and ongoing account management credit risk strategies for unsecured consumer lending products. Utilize quantitative credit risk management frameworks to identify risk drivers and design and create guardrails/thresholds to manage consumer portfolio risk. Assist with portfolio credit risk oversight and governance by tracking the actual performance of risk appetite and credit risk management metrics against approved guardrails. Support credit risk management senior leadership to assess data availability, data sufficiency, and reporting needs. Design and write complex data queries to extract credit data from credit systems and conduct analysis of portfolio performance, deep dive analysis of trends, summarize findings and recommend changes. Create analytical reports and presentations for senior management to monitor portfolio performance at portfolio segment level (e.g., product, vintage, risk segment, score band, or marketing channel). Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years (with Master’s) OR five (5) years (with Bachelor’s) with the following: business system requirements, creation of simulation logic on Policy changes, UAT on new changes and support on ongoing exception process testing; using analytical tools such as SQL, R, Python, or SAS to extract, mine and summarize data; data visualization tools such as Tableau to report portfolio key risk and performance metrics; using advanced Microsoft Excel functionality and Microsoft PowerPoint to produce and present analytical insights and highlight data trends; and working on analytical projects utilizing segmentation and optimization analyses.
