Serve as a major right-of-way and land management lead in field operations, managing internal and external relationships, human resources, budgets, and a portfolio of land projects nationwide. Provide strong leadership aligned with TRC core values and collaborate with a nationwide team and diverse stakeholders. Report to the Right of Way Land Director and oversee the development and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications with customers and team members. Create project plans, estimates, and manage a portfolio of projects and clients; ensure consistent standards in land services delivery across the organization. Prepare feed studies and proposals; develop, train, and mentor project teams; create/execute project execution strategies aligned with TRC and client values. Develop mitigation plans for unique project environments; ensure regulatory compliance; provide expert witness testimony as required. Assist the Land Director with budgeting, procedures, estimates, and schedules; participate in regular project controls meetings and profitability reporting; oversee backlog reporting. Manage all land aspects of projects (regulatory planning, routing, survey permission/coordination, title, acquisition, eminent domain, construction, reclamation, closeout). Engage in industry committees and regulatory forums; provide organizational leadership and support quality management and performance initiatives. Attend sales meetings as a technical expert; utilize TRC and client technology to manage projects; negotiate complex terms as assigned. Manage direct reports, onboarding, timesheets, and expense approvals; handle additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Management, or related field, or applicable experience. 7–10 years of related experience with 3–5 years in senior management; experience in proposal writing and budgeting for land acquisitions; linear project management (pipeline, electric transmission). Strong leadership, time management, collaboration, accountability, and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective workflows. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and land management database applications; experience mentoring teams and succession planning; results-driven with continuous improvement expertise. Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills; conflict management and problem-solving abilities; ability to work independently and in a matrix organization. Willingness to travel up to 75% (or more for project-specific assignments); flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed. Experience identifying targeted client relationships and growing them into a book of business. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Energy sector, Oil & Gas, Power/Utility, Wind and Solar. PMP certification or active enrollment in a certification program. Recent or current experience as a Right of Way Land Manager in land project management. Benefits
