Per the State of Kansas, student employees may hold concurrent appointments not to exceed
maximum appointment and hours worked levels . However, concurrent student appointments must be of matching FLSA designation (exempt/salaried or non-exempt/hourly).
Job Description The Management and Entrepreneurship academic area at KU School of Business is hiring for a student hourly position. Job duties may include (but are not limited to):
50% Grading assignments, quizzes, exams & providing feedback
25% Office hours to meet, help, and work with students
15% Class material preparation and in-class assistance
10% Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours.
For summer periods, the student hourly must:
have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours, or
be enrolled in summer session or
be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester.
Student Hourlies may be for undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to follow instructions
Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel)
Current KU Business School Student
