Overview
Operations Supervisor (Burlington, NJ) at Nimble. The role is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of the warehouse with emphasis on achieving daily production goals, training and developing hourly associates, and making recommendations for system improvements. Responsibilities
Operations Management: Oversee daily production for Nimble’s operations. Hours can be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift based on operational needs. Communicate effectively with the team to support facility production goals on an hourly basis. Develop and implement shipping and receiving work schedules and assignments to ensure effective operations to meet goals. Provide direct supervision to warehouse personnel matching skills to work requirements. Supervise inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Ensure equipment is utilized efficiently and coordinate maintenance with management. Review daily work objectives and determine productivity requirements to meet building objectives. Balance labor with other leaders to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Draft and submit daily end-of-shift reports; make recommendations on initiatives and programs to improve operations and work on those programs. Document robot maintenance issues. Employee Relations/Development: Conduct daily pre-shift meetings, assist in developing training programs, onboarding, and performance management; maintain HR practices and resolve employee relations issues. Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to enhance skill development; participate in talent selection and performance reviews; maintain timekeeping records. Safety and Security: Ensure safe, clean, and efficient warehouse operation; support safety programs and OSHA compliance; report and address employee injuries and accidents; ensure daily pre-flight checks when applicable. Basic Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a warehouse environment (highly automated, e-commerce preferred). Working knowledge of Google Suite and WMS systems. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations. Dedicated, hardworking, quick learner with good communication in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience approving payroll time. Basic knowledge of warehouse/mechanical equipment; forklift certification is preferred; understanding of performance metrics, process improvement, 5S and Lean tools. Additional Requirements
Must be able to stand/walk for up to 12 hours; lift and move boxes/totes up to 50 pounds. Regular bending, stretching, and reaching; operate in a warehouse environment with variable noise, lighting, and temperature. Culture
