Hourly, Non-Exempt Job Summary:
The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising all functions of airline customer service operations, including auditing flight paperwork for compliance, completing personnel evaluations, coordinating handling of OJIs, ensuring safety policy compliance, attending meetings, managing personnel coverage, and liaising with airline customers and airport authorities. Job Responsibilities:
Monitoring and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all airline ground support equipment. Reporting discrepancies in ground support equipment. Coordinating with carriers to meet cargo and baggage service needs for on-time schedules. Ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Coordinating activities with other departments. Determining manpower needs and conducting disciplinary procedures fairly. Maintaining attendance and punctuality standards. Performing under pressure within fixed time constraints. Reading and interpreting aircraft loading instructions and labels. Complying with all relevant rules and regulations. Briefing crews before flights. Performing other duties as assigned. Requirements:
Understanding of Airline Customer Service. Experience in Airport Ground Handling. Computer skills (6+ months) including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to navigate electronic devices. Proven supervisory experience. Operational planning and resource allocation skills. Knowledge of GSE maintenance issues. Understanding of commercial aviation issues. Evening schedule from 6:15pm to 10:15pm, including weekends. High School diploma or GED. At least 18 years old. Timely information processing ability. Valid Driver's License. Proficiency in English. Intermediate computer skills. Previous ramp or airline experience. Successful completion of training and certifications. Clear FBI fingerprint background check. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods. Repetitively lift up to 70 pounds. Work outside in all weather conditions with exposure to noise. Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work extended hours on short notice during operations.
