Overview

Reeves Construction is seeking a Project Manager with heavy highway construction and asphalt paving experience. The Project Manager provides leadership and management to assigned projects in a safe, profitable, and timely manner. The Project Manager negotiates vendors, pricing, budgets, and schedule requirements. Responsibilities

Responsible for project success, including safety, schedule, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction. Participate in the business development process including client contacts, relationships, proposals, presentations, and negotiations for selected projects. Establish and maintain professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Understand and administer prime contract terms and conditions, contract documents, subcontract agreements, purchase order agreements, etc. Prepare and review estimates. This includes project review meetings analyzing contract requirements, general conditions, schedules, budgets, subcontracts, and purchase order agreements. Coordinate with the Project Superintendent the means and methods required for successful and profitable execution of the work. Ensure coordination with the Project Superintendent and procurement schedule with the Project Engineer; monitor delays or changes and document them. Use available reports to manage costs and prepare accurate cost projections. Review and execute all change orders, supplements, and cost control budget adjustments. Manage all billings to ensure timely submission of payment applications and collection of payments from the owner to maintain favorable cash flow. Prepare and execute purchase order agreements and subcontracts concerning insurance certificates, bonds, and lien waivers. Complete close-out requirements and punch lists promptly. Provide feedback to estimators for use in future bidding or negotiations, especially subcontractor performance evaluations. Ensure all work products are consistent with industry standards and applicable specifications and requirements. Provide ongoing training and mentoring to entry level and midlevel engineers to promote employee development. Qualifications

5 years\' experience in asphalt paving / grading & storm drainage preferred. Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent experience; preferably in construction management. Knowledgeable in and proven abilities with estimating in a paving or construction environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to interact with external and internal customers and partners in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, working independently with a high degree of problem solving. Proficiency in Excel, HCSS/JDE and experience with an estimating package is helpful. Job Details
