Redpath Partners are working alongside a leading private equity real estate firm with an integrated development platform to appoint a
Development Associate
to their New York team. The firm has the unique ability to participate in deals as either GP or LP, offering a flexible and entrepreneurial approach to multifamily investment and development.
Role This is an
execution-focused position . The Development Associate will support the delivery of multifamily projects from entitlement through design, construction, and stabilization. The role requires a strong technical foundation and hands‑on involvement in design coordination, permitting, and construction oversight, ensuring that projects are executed to institutional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants on design development.
Support entitlement and permitting processes with city agencies and stakeholders.
Oversee project budgets, schedules, and value engineering initiatives.
Partner with construction teams to monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve challenges.
Track project performance and prepare reports for senior leadership and capital partners.
The Ideal Candidate
3–6 years of experience in real estate development, construction management, architecture, or engineering.
Strong technical background with the ability to evaluate design feasibility, costs, and construction execution.
Experience delivering multifamily or large‑scale residential projects preferred.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and confident managing multiple stakeholders.
Motivated to grow within a private equity platform with both GP and LP investment flexibility.
