Provide support services in the operation and maintenance of an academic or research laboratory, including performing analyses; setup, operation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment; and maintaining stock of supplies. Specific duties are determined by assignment and unit needs. This role interacts with academic and/or research faculty, staff and students and may advise lab users. This position is not supervisory and has no financial responsibilities. Responsibilities
Setup, operate and maintain instruments and other equipment used in lab tests and experiments. Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records. Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations. Clean instruments, glassware and other lab equipment as needed. Prepare and process laboratory samples for use in assigned tests. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Educational Requirements: High school diploma, GED certificate or vocational school diploma. Required Experience: Up to two years of related experience. Skills: Knowledge of instrumentation and lab equipment, laboratory processes and procedures; inventory management; and use of specialized computer applications. Core Values
