The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University provides dental education through hands-on learning, research, patient care, and service. The DCG serves patients across Georgia in more than 20 clinics with options for student clinics, resident care, or faculty practice. Job Summary

Oversee financial, personnel, administrative, operations, facilities, and practice aspects for the Oral Maxillofacial Surgical Clinic, Periodontic Clinic, Ambulatory Surgical Center, and the DCG D3 Student Clinic. Work directly with Department Chairs, Program Directors, and Associate Deans to promote patient-centered care and student & resident enrichment. Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to: PRESIDENTEL MANAGEMENT

Coordinate personnel hiring/interview processes in four departments and clinics. Evaluate employee performance and provide guidance and training to ensure standards are met. Counsel/discipline employees as necessary. Prepare key requests, employee health forms, clearance forms, and other administrative documents including credentialing documents to grant hospital privileges for OR, ED, and CHOG. PATIENT FINANCIALS AND SCHEDULING

Oversee administrative operations and staff management for clinical front desk personnel of four clinics, including patient registration, scheduling, referral tracking, recall management, and coordination of pending and wait lists. Manage patient financials (collections, insurance, payment plans, and charge disputes). Oversee collection and auditing of patient accounts; review accounts to maintain effective collection processes and timely refunds/credit balances. Manage patient inquiries and complaints. Monitor metrics such as missed appointments, unfilled times, overdue recalls, and pending referrals. Monitor Cisco Finesse and Zoom to ensure effective call operations. Oversee adjustment of charges on patient accounts with proper documentation and compliance. Direct and oversee educational and faculty clinic schedules to maximize appointment availability. CLINICAL OPERATIONS

Plan, implement, and evaluate dental assisting support activities for four clinics. Liaise between dental auxiliary staff and providers; identify problems or needs related to chairside assisting and clinic activities. Maintain scheduling matrix to forecast staffing needs. Ensure preventative maintenance and minor repairs in clinics and labs. Coordinate clinical rotations for Augusta Tech dental assistant students. Ensure compliance with emergency protocols and maintain emergency carts. Perform weekly audits and requisition supplies, equipment, and dental instruments. Maintain inventory control records. FINANCIAL AND DEPARTMENTAL

Approve clinical supply requisitions. Plan, audit, and reconcile clinical budgets. Serve as asset manager for departments. Develop business opportunities to expand clinical practice and maximize resources. Liaise with DCG clinics, WellStar health system, external contacts, and DCG administration, faculty, and staff. Support completion of institutional and departmental surveys and submissions. HEALTH INFORMATICS SYSTEMS

Provision, audit, and de-provision user security for dental EHR (axiUm), eRx, Intevio, Cisco Finesse, TouchNet, and iParc. Conduct regular data audits to ensure accuracy and integrity. Create and maintain reports supporting operations. TRAINING

Maintain standard operating procedures and training manuals. Coordinate with clinics to train students, residents, and faculty on financial/clinical policies. Develop and manage training of dental auxiliary staff and new dental assistants. Document training and ensure records are up to date. Coordinate cross-training schedules for clinical staff, including rotations through central sterilization. OTHER DUTIES

Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related field Five years of office management experience including supervisory responsibilities Preferred Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university Clinical operational experience Experience with scheduling and finances Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge:

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases; experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems; dental clinical (coding and instrumentation) experience Skills:

Financial, budgetary, and reconciliation skills; outstanding people skills; understanding of USG policies governing operations Abilities:

Maintain confidentiality; work independently, prioritize duties, and be detail-oriented Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days/M-F (some work outside normal hours may be required) Pay Band: B12 Salary: Minimum $62,300 annually; salary commensurate with qualifications within the established range Recruitment Period: Until Filled Benefits available to full-time benefits-eligible employees and some part-time employees; includes health, dental, life insurance, retirement options, vacation, sick leave, and holidays. Tuition Assistance Program may be available after six months of employment. Conditions of Employment
