We are seeking a
Senior Manager, Truck Assets & Operations
to lead the oversight of truck builds, with a focus on box upfitting, transportation coordination, and maintaining a detailed asset list/registry. This role includes managing the customization of truck boxes to meet operational needs, ensuring material reliability, structural durability, and the integration of essential components like lift gates and refrigeration units. You will coordinate asset movements, maintain fleet records, and ensure the seamless operation of the fleet. Additionally, the role involves vendor collaboration, preventative maintenance planning, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Leveraging your expertise in box build processes and fleet management, you will drive operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Manage the company’s trucking assets, including tracking, maintenance, and readiness for operations. Oversee equipment inventory and condition, such as lift gates, reefer units, and additional add-ons. Maintain a detailed and accurate asset list/registry, tracking the condition, maintenance history, and operational status of all truck assets. Regularly update records to reflect changes in asset allocation or condition. Provide technical guidance on truck box builds, ensuring the use of durable materials and robust construction to meet operational specifications. Manage the movement of trucks and assets to support operational needs. Ensure timely delivery and positioning of fleet assets across required locations. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure quality products at cost-effective prices. Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize asset longevity. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including asset inspections and certifications. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for vehicle registrations and certifications. Manage budgets related to truck assets, identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality. What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in truck box upfitting, asset management, and transport coordination. Proven experience in managing fleet assets and vendor relationships. Strong knowledge of truck box builds, materials, and technical specifications. Familiarity with lift gates, refrigeration units, and other truck-mounted equipment. Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, project management, and vendor negotiation skills. Relevant certifications in fleet or asset management are a plus. Salary Range - $140,000 - $190,000 More about Gatik
