Full time position available. Growing Level II NICU, 8 bed Nursery at JFK University Medical Center serving residents of Middlesex, Union and Somerset counties in Central New Jersey.
Opportunity Information The NICU Advanced Practice Nurse will attend high-risk deliveries and work with neonatologists to assess, diagnose, prescribe, perform procedures, and help develop care plans for neonates.
Position details: Day shifts (7 am - 11 pm) weekdays and weekends including holiday.
Responsibilities include:
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team providing comprehensive care
Evaluate and treat newborns in the NICU in collaboration with neonatal attendings
Attend high risk deliveries and provide appropriate stabilization
Evaluate newborns in the well baby nursery for conditions requiring elevation of care
Perform therapeutic interventions as appropriate for care of neonatal patients
Provide family centered care and communicate effectively with health care teams and families
Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies
Participate in NICU transport team
Qualifications
New Jersey Nurse Practitioner License and preference for Neonatal NP (NNP) certification

Compensation Minimum starting base salary: $77.10/hr or $160,368.00 annually based on a 40 hr week.
