Physical Therapist - North Liberty Outpatient

The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus is looking for an Outpatient Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders and/or injuries. This position will be assigned to the Outpatient Orthopedics Clinic Setting. Position Responsibilities

Provide quality patient care, evaluation, assessment and treatment appropriate for patient’s needs. Assignment will involve primarily adults in an outpatient setting. Evaluate and instruct patients in home treatment programs. Perform routine and assigned administrative tasks in an efficient manner. Participate in divisional quality/process improvement activities and recommend opportunities for improvement in service quality. Attend and participate in educational programs and provide educational experiences as assigned. Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public. Performs special projects and tasks as assigned. Positive Impact/Achieving Results

Ability to utilize existing resources and learning to achieve or exceed desired outcomes of current and future organizational goals/needs. Able to demonstrate ethical behavior in a variety of situations while producing results.

Ability to meet or exceed customer service needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner. Ability to effectively transmit and interpret information through appropriate communication with internal and external customers. The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus opened in the Spring of 2025. This 469,000 square foot facility is home to UI Health Care’s nationally recognized Orthopedics service line, offering comprehensive, coordinated, and accessible care across the outpatient, inpatient and surgical venues. These state-of-the-art clinical facilities include a full-service community imaging center, laboratory services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, retail pharmacy, and emergency department as well as an array of support services. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor’s degree in another field and a Physical Therapy Certificate is required Entry level experience in physical therapy in an outpatient setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Licenses/Certifications

Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required Desirable Qualifications

1-3 yearsexperience in Physical Therapy 1-3 yearsexperience in evaluation and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal disorders Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated leadership in a work or academic setting Application Process
