Overview
Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, is hiring a Full-Time Generalist Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT/MLS II) for Core Lab located at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. Position: Overnight shift 6:30pm – 7:00am; 3 12-hour shifts per week. Full-time, non-remote, Generalist Lab Technologist. Responsibilities
Operate instrumentation in assigned areas to deliver precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results; perform testing and operation of equipment as necessary to deliver quality results. Train new laboratory personnel in methods, procedures and use of equipment and instruments specific to the assigned area. Perform quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoot malfunctioning instrumentation; assess technical or instrument problems, evaluate possible solutions, and choose an appropriate course of action to solve the problem. Report and maintain records of patient test results through the laboratory computer system, meeting published turnaround times for routine testing and stat testing. Participate in performance improvement activities and initiatives, proactively diagnosing and resolving problems in an organized and timely fashion. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical/Life Sciences or related field ASCP, AMT, or AAB registration (or eligible) Lab experience preferred; supervisor experience not required Shift & Compensation Details

The Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) II performs specimen processing and routine/complex testing on blood and other specimens, requiring knowledge of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges.
