Vice Chair of Clinical Innovation (Finance) The Department of Radiology at the University of South Florida is seeking a visionary radiologist to serve as Vice Chair of Clinical Innovation. This senior leadership position reports directly to the Chair of Radiology and plays a key role in shaping the future of radiology through clinical innovation, technology integration, and academic advancement. The Vice Chair will lead efforts to improve patient care and position the department as a national leader in innovative radiology practice. Qualifications: MD or DO degree (or equivalent), with board certification in Radiology. Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Radiology. Eligibility for medical licensure in Florida. Demonstrated leadership in clinical innovation, technology development, or health systems improvement. Evidence of scholarly productivity (publications, presentations, grants). Strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills. Preferred Qualifications: Academic rank of Associate or Full Professor. Identify, evaluate, and scale innovations in clinical care, workflow, technology, and patient experience. Clinical Integration: Collaborate with faculty and health system leaders to implement new technologies such as AI. Partner with operations, IT, and quality leadership to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety. Research & Scholarship: Advance academic missions through research in clinical innovation, AI, informatics, and health systems. Education & Mentorship: Mentor faculty, residents, and fellows interested in innovation and quality improvement. Lead change management to ensure successful adoption of innovations. Objectives (First 3 Years): Establish an innovation infrastructure (e.g., councils, pilot pathways). Implement 2-3 high-impact clinical innovations with measurable outcomes. Secure extramural funding for projects. Publish peer-reviewed work and elevate the department’s national profile. Mentor faculty and trainees, fostering an innovation-driven culture.
