in the following specialties to address the medical necessity of treatment requests and, in appeals, the medical necessity of previously denied services: Occupational Medicine The average time spent on most reviews is 15-20 minutes, allowing you to complete several cases within an hour. Training and onboarding can be completed in less than 1 week. You can start earning compensation for reviews while maintaining your active practice. Minimum requirements include: Current, unrestricted Texas Medical License Active Practice Board Certification This independent consultant role offers schedule flexibility and predictable work hours. You choose services and case types, dictate volume, and conduct this work based on your scheduled availability. No doctor/patient relationship is established, and no treatment is provided. These are advisory-only opinions. The typical turnaround time (TAT) is 1-5 business days, depending on the review level. Same-day cases are rare but do occur. Dane Street coordinates all administrative tasks to ensure your time is spent on clinical decision-making. We provide a streamlined case flow and a user-friendly work portal, facilitating communication, organizing medical records, supporting administrative processes, and ensuring timely delivery of determinations/reports. Medical records and treatment guidelines used are provided in an easy, click-to-view format. Peer-to-peer calls for adverse determinations are coordinated by Dane Street’s peer coordinators, who secure provider availability. Initial training and ongoing support are provided to assist you in completing reviews.
