Position Summary

The Healthcare Connection is seeking a dedicated and compassionate

Dental Hygienist

to join our team. The Dental Hygienist plays a key role in delivering high-quality oral health care, patient education, and preventive services to our community. This position is responsible for performing professional dental hygiene procedures, including oral examinations, prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, application of preventive materials, and patient instruction in oral hygiene practices. This role works collaboratively with dentists and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care in alignment with The Healthcare Connection’s mission of providing accessible, affordable, and quality care to all. Key Responsibilities

Perform dental assessments, cleanings, polishing, fluoride/varnish applications, and X-rays Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and risk prevention Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures as needed Document patient history, conditions, and procedures thoroughly and accurately Prepare dental impressions and study casts Assist with walk-in patients and emergency protocols Maintain cleanliness and function of operatories and dental equipment Use downtime to restock and prepare exam areas Support general front office duties as needed (triage, phones, etc.) Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) – State of Ohio Current CPR Certification Ongoing CEUs to maintain licensure and stay current in dental practices Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Free Life & Short-Term Disability Insurance 403(b) Retirement Plan with employer match 10 Paid Holidays Eligible for Student Loan Forgiveness – FQHC/NHSC Site Equal Employment Opportunity/Drug-Free Workplace
