About Us We are a progressive outpatient rehabilitation clinic specializing in comprehensive, patient-centered care. We are expanding our services to include pelvic floor therapy with a primary focus on supporting our gender-affirming patients. Our multidisciplinary team (speech therapy, PT/OT, etc.) is passionate about creating a welcoming, affirming, and inclusive environment.

Job Description We are seeking a dedicated

Pelvic Floor Physical or Occupational Therapist

to join our team, specializing in pelvic floor therapy for our gender-affirming population. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide expert care to individuals undergoing gender-affirming procedures and manage pelvic health concerns across a variety of needs.

Responsibilities Perform evaluations and treatment of pelvic floor function for a diverse patient population.

Provide pre- and post-operative care for gender-affirming surgeries (vaginoplasty, phalloplasty, metoidioplasty, hysterectomy, etc.).

Address concerns related to urinary, bowel, and sexual health.

Offer pain management and scar tissue mobilization techniques.

Support patients through preparation and recovery for gender-affirming surgeries.

Conduct internal and external pelvic floor assessments (within scope of practice).

Collaborate with surgeons, speech-language pathologists, mental health providers, and the broader care team to achieve holistic, patient-centered outcomes.

Educate patients on pelvic health, healing timelines, breathing/posture techniques, and safe return to function.

Document patient progress according to clinic and regulatory standards.

Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist (PT, DPT) or Occupational Therapist (OT, OTR/L) in the state of Texas.

Completed specialized training in pelvic health therapy (Herman & Wallace, APTA Pelvic Health, or equivalent).

Preferred:

Experience with gender-affirming care and working with LGBTQ+ populations.

Compassionate, affirming, and trauma-informed approach to care.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team setting.
